Assigning licenses to my circle

Choose a plan, assign a license to each member, take one back, and understand what happens at the end of the trial.

During the trial

Every account starts with 14 days of trial with every feature, no card and no automatic billing. The app warns you a few days before the end. There is nothing to do for the other members of the circle: each has their own trial.

1. Choosing a plan

One person in the circle subscribes, from Settings → Subscription and license → Plans, or directly in the App Store or Google Play:

Mono: 1 license, for yourself.
Duo: 2 licenses, a couple or a parent and a child.
Family: 8 licenses, for the whole household, grandparents included.

Monthly or yearly, the yearly one being cheaper. The payer’s license is assigned to them automatically; the others are free.

2. Assigning a license

Settings → Subscription and license → My licenses shows each license: assigned, free, or invitation pending.
On a free license, tap Assign a license and pick the person among your contacts.
They receive an offer in the app, and accept or decline. You see “invitation pending” until they answer, then “License assigned”.

A person already covered, by you or by someone else, cannot receive a second license. A child member receives their license the same way, assigned by their guardian.

3. Taking a license back

On an assigned license, Remove the license. The person is told immediately and keeps sharing for three days, then goes into spectator mode unless someone assigns them another license. The license becomes free right away.

What a member without a license sees

Spectator mode erases nothing: the person still sees what their people share and keeps their conversations. They no longer share their position or record their trips. As soon as a license is assigned to them, everything resumes.

Changing plan, cancelling

Plan changes and cancellation happen in the store; the Manage button takes you there (guide Manage or cancel the subscription). Moving to a smaller plan first frees the free and reserved licenses, then removes the most recent assignments, yours last, with the usual three days of grace.

What Fenzly knows about your subscription

Who pays, which plan, on which dates, and whom the licenses are assigned to: that is needed to validate the purchase with Apple or Google and so that each phone knows its rights, even offline. This information is never joined with your positions, places or circles, of which the server knows nothing.
