Reading my history
The three views of the History tab, the period, sorting and filters, categories, and the retention setting.
Where the numbers come from
The history is computed on your phone from what Fenzly recorded for you: your arrivals and departures at your favorite places, and your trips if the Detailed mode is on (guide Recording and sharing my trips). It holds only your own data, never that of your circle members, and none of it is sent to the server. A stay still in progress does not appear until it ends.
Choosing the period
At the top of the tab, switch from This week to This month or This year, and move to previous periods. Every view follows the chosen period.
Places
The ranked list of your places, each with its number of visits and total time. Sort by Most visited or Most time. Tap a place for its detail:
- time spent, split per day over a week, per week over a month, per month over a year;
- entries and exits, with their times;
- the visits one by one.
Only the places you named appear: an unidentified stop is not ranked. Name it from your visited places to bring it into the ranking (guide Organising my places).
Categories
The same reading, grouped by place category: Home, Work, Sport, Shopping, Restaurant, or the ones you added. Each category gives its number of places, its visits and its total time, and opens on the same detail as a place. A category with no activity over the period stays visible, at zero.
The category is your personal classification: it is never sent to your circles, even for a shared place.
Trips
At the top, two counters: Trips and Distance over the period. Below, your trips grouped by day, each with its transport mode, departure and arrival, time, duration and distance. A trip opens on its route and statistics.
The filter chips narrow the list to one trip category: Hiking, Bike ride, Work trip, or the ones you create. The counters follow the filter, which gives you for instance the month’s work kilometres. A trip’s category is chosen from its card.
How long to keep
Settings → History: Keep everything, or limit to 24, 12 or 6 months. Shortening the duration permanently erases what is beyond it, after confirmation, then at every sign-in. By default, Fenzly keeps everything: the depth of the history is yours.
Restoring a backup brings the history back with the rest; an account started “fresh” starts from today.
