Can Fenzly read my data?

No. Fenzly is built on a blind server model:

• your GPS coordinates and the names of your places are encrypted and never readable server-side;
• your presence at a place is computed on your phone, never transmitted;
• your address book and the composition of your circles stay on your device only.

The server is an encrypted relay and a switchboard: it knows whom to forward a message to, never what it contains. What it holds comes down to your account, your devices and your subscription receipts, and you can check that yourself by requesting the “What the server knows about me” export from the app. Your data is hosted in Switzerland, in line with the GDPR and the Swiss nDPA.
